ABOUT
Your PAIN is REAL
Pain is something we all experience in our lifes. Even chronic pain is is a common thing. But there seems to be something we missed in the way to deal with pain when it comes to what we call chronic pain. Chronic pain is real and physical. It can take all the energy you got, even make you stay in bed or on the floor for days or weeks.
This might sound odd at the begining but stay with me. The pain is not in your head. But there might be a connection with the pain you experience and your mind.
We all have ways to deal with life and some of us due to our history deal with it differnet then others. Not to say that any of the ways are wrong. We seems to pick up patterns that we are not even aware of and when shit hits the fan we deal with life in different ways. It’s hard to compare our life to somebody else due to one thing can be hard for you but not your friend or cousine or somebody else and in the next situation you are fine and the others are struggling.
There seems to be common patterns with people who suffers from chronic pain. For exmaple a lot of us seems to be high achivers and goodists. Putting a lot of pressures on our self. Where we picked up this patterns is not all the time important. But we seems to punish ourself and not allowing ourself to feel feellings and emotions as much as we need. You could say that the pain is in a way trying to protect us from our feelings and emotions. It’s not always the easiest road to explore our feelings and emotions that are behind the pain but the return is awesome and well worth it! You are worth it!!
As you slowly start to experince your feelings and emotion you will see the physical body is changing. Be humble to yourself. It probably didn’t take you a day or a week to get where you are now. We will make progress and we are all individuals. But you will make progress and it’s an amazing experince.
Pain free
If you are like me you have tried everything out there to deal with your pain and it’s a lot out there to try. I tried psychotherapy but it was never explained to me or even tryd explain to me the relationship between our mind and body when it comes to pain. I now have an understanding that they didn’t even have the knowledge and little to no interested in getting knowledge in the topic. It was suggestion to me a couple of times to learn to live with the pain and it would make me so furious how somebody can suggest anything like that, I wanted to scream back at them, but I didn’t.
The pain is real and it takes so much energy from us and to get the energy available for something better is like a wakeup call.
There has been people who has experience profound recovery from their pain since the 70th and it has been written quite a few books on this topic. The awareness is growing and the research. If thousands of people has gotten out of pain so can you.
The way out is to really see who you are and how you feel and your relationship to your feelings and emotions. There is a lot of us that is not aware about our feelings and emotions. We all have a need to express them and feel our feelings and emotions. If we don’t allow to feel the feelings that are there then we store them in our physical body.
Physical symptoms due to our unconscious is something that we all experience on a daily basis, but we might not always see the connection. When we feel insecure we might blush. It’s not by choice we get red cheeks. When we have know we are have to hold a presentation we might get an upset stomach even if we had the same to breakfast as yesterday or the day before that. Same goes with if we are afraid of flying our stomach will remind us. If the workload is to great we might end up with migraine, cold or a stiff or back or neck while we are under pressure or just after. We have all experience symptoms as a result of our mind and it’s part of our lives. Our unconscious mind has needs that we have to meet or we will get one or another symptom.
By learning to be aware of our feelings and emotions the tension in our body is melting away and so is the pain.
“We are not in pain due to we are crooked. We are crooked due to we are in pain.” – Howard Schubiner
The physical explanation of what is causing the pain is mild oxygen deprivation. The pain can be more or less anywhere in the body. It can be the cruelest pain you ever experienced. It’s nothing dangerous that is happening but the pain can be excruciating.
The pain seems to have the purpose of making us focus on the pain and not our feelings and emotions. By stepping outside the pain and not giving it the attention it’s trying to get by starting to feel our feelings and emotions the pain has no reason to stay and the energy you gave it will be accessible for other things in your life.
The path is stop treating the physical and start to feel our feelings. They are not dangerous it’s only a feeling and by letting it be felt it will pass and another feeling will come. It might not be a straight road. But that’s OK! We probably didn’t end up here on a straight road either. As we learn something new we most of the time fall over a couple of times and I bet you have been practicing a while on what you are up to know. I practiced for 15 years and became pretty good at it. I can now see it was the wrong direction. To become a pro we have to practice!
I haven’t had any physical treatment since mid 2019 and hasn’t treated myself as if I have a physical problem either.
Your body is a masterpiece when it comes to being able to heal! If we only step aside and let the body do its thing it will most likely heal.
As I and many others and some researchers out there has experience the way western medicine is treating people who struggles with pain there is little to no help to get. There is research who says that the majority of back surgery that is made regarding back pain has no to little effect.
There is research done on injections and medicines that shows it has little to no effect. But we still get them prescribed.
The western medicine has it flaws but it also have its benefits. We only have to see it for what it is. Use it where it can help us. In cases of emergency it’s amazing what the western medicine is capable off.
I would encourage to have consultation with a doctor if you get a symptom of some sort that are bothering you to rule out any serious illness. Remember that you know yourself best and take control of your own health if you can. A doctor who sees you for 15 to 20 minutes can only do so much.
